Q: When and where is Parkinson's Battle of the Bay?
A: The 2017 Parkinson's Battle of the Bay will be Saturday, April 8, 2017 from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM at Baylands Park, 999 East Caribbean Drive, Sunnyvale, California 94089.

Q: How much is the sign-up fee?
A: There is no sign up fee! It is completely free! We do encourage every participant to set a minimum fundraising goal of $125 which will earn them the official 2017 Parkinson's Battle of the Bay T-Shirt, Waterbottle, and Draw-string Bag!

Q: What are funds raised being used for?
A: Every dollar we raise will remain local here at the Parkinson’s Institute and Clinical Center and be invested immediately in world-class care and cutting-edge research benefiting all people living with Parkinson’s.

Q: How do I sign-up for Parkinson's Battle of the Bay?
A: If you want to sign-up as an individual or create a new team, simply hover your mouse over the "Sign-Up" menu button at the top of this page and click on either "sign-up as an individual" or "create a team." If you want to join an existing team, simply hover your mouse over the "Sign-Up" menu button at the top of this page and click on "join an existing team." Click on "search for a team" and enter the team's name in the search bar, then click on the search icon. Click on the underlined team name you want to join. On the team's page click the "Join Team" button.

Q: Who should sign up?
A: Everyone! The Parkinson's Battle of the Bay is very friend, family, and coworker friendly!

Q: How do I know I'm signed-up?
A: Once you complete the online sign-up form, you should see a confirmation screen. Furthermore, a confirmation e-mail will be sent to the address you provided during registration. For assistance, please email Nick Mourlam, Manager of Sponosrships & Special Events, at NMourlam@ParkinsonsInstitute.org or call (408) 542-5637.

Q: How does someone add money to my fundraising campaign once I am signed-up?
A: Once you complete the online sign-up form, hover your mouse over the "Donate" menu button at the top of any page and click on either "Donate to a Participant's Campaign" or "Donate to a Team's Campaign." Enter the participant's or team's name in the search bar, then click on the search icon. Click on the "Donate Now" button found on the right hand side of the screen in the box corresponding to their name. Q: If I raise $1,000 or more, how do I select which prize I want?
A: Once you have completed and confirmed your payment, an e-mail will be sent to the address you provided during the registration process allowing you to select your prize. Please allow 3 weeks for verification and processing of prizes.

Q: How do I sign-up my family?
A: Before you complete your sign-up on the "Sign-Up Summary" screen, click the option to “Register Family Member” on the bottom of the screen. Please sign-up each person who is planning to attend, including children. It is important that each registrant use a unique email address, if possible. Q: I've already signed-up. I'd like to sign-up friends and family, but it says I can't because I'm already signed up. What do I do?
A: This error usually happens because you are trying to sign-up a new participant while you are not finished with your personal registration. It is likely your computer has saved your registration information and is automatically remembering your information. Try deleting the history, cookies and offline content in your internet browser program. Then close your browser program down entirely, and re-open. If you still run into problems, please email Nick Mourlam, Manager of Sponsorships & Special EventsNMourlam@ParkinsonsInstitute.org or call (408) 542-5637.

Q: Can I sign-up over the phone?
A: Yes, please call Nick Mourlam, Manager of Sponsorships & Special Events, directly at (408) 542-5637.

Q: Can I sign-up at the event?
A: You can sign-up for the 2-mile Walk on the event day, but we strongly encourage you to sign-up online to avoid long lines on event day. Note: No new teams for the sports tournament will be allowed to sign-up on event day.

Q: Can I donate by phone or mail?
A: To make a donation by phone, please call Nick Mourlam, Manager of Sponsorships & Special Events, at (408) 542-5637. You can mail donations to the Parkinson’s Institute and Clinical Center, ATTN: Parkinson's Battle of the Bay at 675 Almanor Avenue, Sunnyvale, California 94085.

Q: How long is the Walk route? Can I bring my stroller, walker or wheelchair?
A: The Walk is a 2-mile crushed granite route and is very accessible for strollers, wheelchairs and walkers. There will be a shorter route for those not comfortable making the entire distance and, in fact, walking isn’t required if someone isn’t feeling up to it!

Q: What if I cannot attend on the event day?
A: You can sign up as a Virtual Walker! If you raise $100 we will mail you the official 2017 Parkinson's Battle of the Bay T-Shirt, Waterbottle, and Draw-string Bag!

Q: What is the Parkinson’s Institute’s Tax ID?
A: The Parkinson’s Institute and Clinical Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Our tax ID is 94-3061594.

Q: Where can I get posters or event envelopes to share with my family, friends and colleagues?

Q: Can I bring my dog?
A: Unfortunately, unless your animal is a certified service animal, no animals are allowed at Baylands Park.

Q: What if the weather forecast says it is going to rain on event day?
A: Parkinson's Battle of the Bay is a rain-or-shine event.
